SMX submitted to DSD for evaluation

Will be evaluated under the Common Criteria for IT Security Evaluation, an international security standard shared by 25 countries.

Synergy Equities Group (ASX:SYG) subsidiary Data InCrypt will soon be submitting its SMX secure registered email suite for evaluation by the Defence Signals Directorate (DSD).

The suite will be evaluated under the DSD's Australisian Information Security Evaluation Program [AISEP].

Under the AISEP, IT products are evaluated against an international security standard, the Common Criteria for IT Security Evaluation.

If successful, SMX will not only be certified as having met Government policy requirements in Australia, but also in the 24 other participating nations which share the common criteria.

On Tuesday, Australian biotechnology company Brain Resource Limited committed to implementing the SMX system.
