Centrelink is looking for suppliers to join an enterprise storage panel the government department is creating.
Its current enterprise storage arrangements are due to end in June next year.
Centrelink is moving towards delivery of storage-as-a-service, enabling the Infrastructure Service Branch (ISB) to provide a capacity-on-demand model.
It needs storage hardware for use in mid-range and mainframe computing systems including enterprise strength tiered storage utilising a variety of disk technologies to deliver services such as storing forms.
This includes solid state, flash drives, fibre channel, SATA disk technologies and tape-based systems.
An industry briefing about the panel will be held at Centrelink’s office in ACT on Wednesday, September 29.
