In a similar vein, CIO.com is launching a semi-regular feature that "tears down" the most popular and talked-about people, events and products in the high-tech world.

As the leader of the behemoth software, hardware and database vendor, Ellison is known for attacking competitors, winning at all costs and acquiring what he wants, when he wants.
