Australian expats across the Tasman may be greeted by a new job opportunity, with the position of CIO at New Zealand’s Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry (MAF) being advertised.
The 12-month, fixed-term contract for the position of CIO is based in Wellington, with the successful candidate set to work for the leading government agency for agriculture, food safety and forestry.
The job advertisement, which appeared on Seek this week, said the role came about due to recent changes in the ministry.
“This breadth of function is assisted by the recent amalgamation with New Zealand Food Safety Authority (NZFSA), creating an integrated organisation that operates at a high level of efficiency,” the advertisement read.
The job opening follows news that a number of Australian CIOs have begun the year at new organisations, with Aristocrat’s CIO, Angelo Grasso, set to leave at the end of this month, and the NSW Department of Education and Training’s new CIO, Stephen Loquet, beginning work this week.
