Microsoft updates Dynamics CRM 2011

New release to scale to 150,000 concurrent users, says vendor

Microsoft has completed and released the latest version of Dynamics CRM 2011 for on-premises and partner-hosted deployments. Customers can download the new release, which the vendor claims complements the latest version of Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online.

Microsoft launched Dynamics CRM 2011 as an on-demand Cloud service from its data centres in January 2011.

The product uses a single, multitenant code base across both Cloud and on-premises deployment models. Existing customers with active Microsoft Software Assurance agreements can access the new version immediately via Microsoft’s download centre.

The vendor also announced the new release scaled to 150,000 concurrent users in a single instance while delivering sub-second response times.

The software is used by customers such as pharmaceuticals firm, Pfizer Australia, international property developer, Jones, Lang, LaSalle, the Melbourne Business School at the University of Melbourne and Hunter New England Health.
