Skilled Group recruiting new CIO

The successful applicant will oversee a budget of $50 million

Australian recruitment company, Skilled Group, is calling for applications to fill the role of CIO to oversee the end-to-end delivery of IT services to the business.

The position, advertised on recruitment website Seek, will require the development of business integrated technology solutions and leadership across the company’s 200 locations in Australia and New Zealand.

Skilled Group is looking for an executive with sound business acumen who will manage the areas of infrastructure, operations, telecommunications, application development and IT security and governance.

The CIO will head up a department of more than 50 full-time equivalent staff and be responsible for implementing IT and telecommunications strategies that support the company's strategic goals, as well as identifying and assessing technology needs and forecasting changes in systems and applications.

“The key is driving communication between the business and IT, so you must possess highly-developed communication skills in order to interact with internal customers and senior leadership team, negotiate contracts, evaluate vendors, and lead IT initiatives,” the advertisement reads.

Skilled is seeking candidates with experience in similar enterprise-level roles and a track record in delivering cost-saving initiatives and managing IT budgets of more than $50 million.

Application close Friday 18 March.
