NAB reports some customer account balances not updating

Bank takes to Twitter to apologise

The National Australia Bank (NAB) has reported that some customer account balances were not up to date this morning.

On Twitter, a NAB spokesperson apologised for the delay and said it would inform customers as soon as possible.

It is not known if the delay in updating customer accounts is related to a technical glitch reported on 25 November 2010, which caused delays in the processing of some customer payments and transactions, plus delays for EFTPOS, ATMs and other electronic banking facilities.

The glitch has also hit NAB-owned UBank, which posted on Twitter that "some account balances may not be up to date".

NAB has been contacted for comment by Computerworld Australia, but did not reply at time of writing.
