NSW government to showcase 12 emerging technology companies at CeBIT

Companies to exhibit Cloud, mobile and VoIP technologies

The New South Wales Government will showcase 12 emerging technology companies at the upcoming CeBIT event in Sydney.

Deputy Premier and Minister for Trade and Investment, Andrew Stoner, said that the companies, which include Blink Mobile Interactive of Gosford and security data protection company Cocoon Data, will help create jobs.

“The NSW stand at the exhibition will promote the innovative capabilities of a selection of our best technology small and medium sized enterprises to help support smart jobs and businesses for the state's future,” Stoner said in a statement.

“Companies selected for the NSW stand at CeBIT Australia include technologies ranging from mobile, cloud and VoIP operations through to e-learning technologies, business automation tools and even a mind reading headset for gamers, researchers and developers.”

Stoner said the government viewed Cloud technology and mobile devices as being the main priorities of 2011 for CIOs and IT managers.

“As research company Gartner has noted, a focus from business on greater enterprise and IT productivity has seen cloud computing, mobile technologies and networking, voice and data communications become the leading priorities this year for Australian and New Zealand CIOs.”

Other companies which will appear on the NSW stand at the CeBIT exhibition include Selera, which produces an agile platform to solve database problems, customer contact centre program BrainGauge, and ReadCloud, an eReading software package for schools and libraries.
