Melbourne-based services provider,Kiandra IT, has scored an ICT services contract with the WA Government to offer business intelligence (BI), SharePoint and custom software development services to all of its departments.
The deal is part of the WA Government's ICT Common Use Agreement (CUA) 14008, a mandatory agreement for purchasing ICT services in the state.
Kiandra qualified under the Business Solution Services category which includes the establishment, implementation, management, maintenance and support of business applications such as enterprise resource planning (ERP), human resources, finances and customer relationship management (CRM).
Kiandra IT managing director, Cameron Brookes, said in a statement to Computerworld Australia that it would be focussing on extending its BI, SharePoint and custom software development services in WA as the state was a growing market for the company.
"Given our strength in custom software development we can really deliver services to [WA] departments of all sizes," Brookes said
For the past 10 years, the company has also been delivering infrastructure and custom software development services to Victorian Government departments such as the Department of Sustainability and Environment, Victoria Police, and the Department of Health.
It is also a member of the Victorian Whole of Government eServices Panel.
According to Brookes, it was looking to extend its services to more Victorian Government departments both on the infrastructure and the software side of the business.
The Commissioner for Law Enforcement Data Security, Australia New Zealand Policing Advisory Agency, Department of Justice and the Office of Police Integrity also use Kiandra's BI, SharePoint and software development offerings.
He also said the company plans to target state governments beyond WA and Victoria as Kiandra IT looked for more revenue opportunities.
"Over the last year we concentrated heavily on areas that will lead to strong revenue contribution in financial year 2012 and beyond, including new systems and the internal investment required to service new contracts," Brookes said.
"With our expanded service offering, new cross sell opportunities and strong business confidence levels we expect to see new contract momentum grow in FY12, in both Government and corporate markets.

In addition, the company has submitted responses for ICT services contracts to the Federal Government.
IT and telecom service provider Anittel (ASX:AYG) has also been selected as a preferred supplier to WA local governments under a different agreement.
The company was appointed to the Western Australian Local Government Association (WALGA) supply panel as an approved hardware and ICT services provider. The agreement covers areas including managed service solutions and network administration.
