Nokia E6 available in Aus

The E6 is now available from Allphones, TeleChoice and Crazy John’s, and from early August through Vodafone and Optus

Nokia's E6 smartphone, which runs the updated Symbian Anna operating system, is now available to local customers following its April launch.

The device, with a recommended retail price of $549, is available through Allphones, TeleChoice and Crazy John’s, and from early August through local telcos Vodafone and Optus.

The handset has a full QWERTY keyboard, 2.5-inch, 640 x 480 pixel touchscreen and is encased in a combination of glass and stainless steel.

It also has an eight megapixel camera with dual LED flash and 720p resolution video capabilities.

The E6 runs Microsoft software including Exchange email and instant messaging via Communicator Mobile, with consumer chat and personal email also available for main service providers.

Pre-installed applications on the device include QuickOffice, World Traveler, JoikuSpot and FaceBook and users will have access to the Nokia app store.
