Fuji Xerox nabs NSW DEC managed print deal

The deal will consolidate the Deaprtment's fragmented procurement and management of devices

The NSW Department of Education and Communities (DEC) has penned a deal with Fuji Xerox Australia (FXA) for the supply of managed print services across its 60,000 print, copy and fax devices.

Under the deal, the largest to date for FXA, the print company will provide a Pay as You Print Optimisation program to about 2200 schools in the state over the next four years.

It will undertake an analysis of the current state of each school taking part in the program, and provide print infrastructure and support services to help streamline campus operations.

The service will be end-to-end and manage all document output devices, providing both scalability and flexibility for the organisation.

To deliver laser services to each school, FXA will partner with HP Australia and will install and manage all print devices for each school and monitor the devices performance for the four-year period.

Prior to consolidating its print services, DEC struggled with fragmented procurement and management of its devices and was lacking efficient use of its internal infrastructure and funds.

“We have a well-established relationship with the department providing multi-function devices over 3 years and this agreement is an extension of our commitment to assist the organisation in expanding its capabilities to provide first class print services to its staff and students,” Fuji Xerox Australia executive general manager, Andy Berry, said in a statement.
