Vodafone pricing for the Apple iPad 2

Vodafone has launched Apple’s iPad 2 for Australian customers, with the device to run on the both the telco’s existing infrastructure and new 850MHz network.

All models of the device are available on prepaid and both 12- and 24-month plans starting from a minimum $15 partial payment upfront on a 12-month plan for $52 per month with 1.5GB data allowance on an iPad 2 16GB, or $59 upfront for 18GB of data on a $96 per month plan.

Devices are also available on $0 upfront 24-month plans with the iPad 2 16GB starting from $45 per month for 1.5GB of data, up to $89 per month for 18GB. The iPad 2 64GB starts from $53 per month for 1.5GB data and up to $97 per month for 18GB.

The device is lighter and thinner than the original iPad with the same 9.7-inch LCD screen.

It features Apple’s dual-core A5 processor with two cameras, one front-facing video graphics array (VGA) camera for Facetime and Photo Booth as well as a rear-facing camera.

Customer can purchase the device from selected Vodafone stores and retail outlets.
