iPrimus connects B2B Gateway customer to NBN

iPrimus has achieved another first on the NBN

iPrimus has connected the country’s first customer to NBN Co’s business-to-business (B2B) Gateway on the National Broadband Network (NBN) in Sorrell, Tasmania.

The B2B Gateway allows iPrimus to provision services to customers on the NBN in real time. It also allows high volume orders to be processed through system automation.

It has been designed to provide highly-automated mechanisms enabling access seekers to interact with NBN Co for the purposes of fulfilment, assurance and billing.

iPrimus was the first retail service provider (RSP) to receive interoperability certification under NBN Co’s B2B Gateway.

“iPrimus has been a key contributor in the development of our operational processes over the past 12 months and it is fitting that they are the first telecommunications retail service provider to connect a customer to the NBN using our B2B Gateway,” Martin Pittard, NBN Co manager of industry integration, said in a statement.

iPrimus was also the first RSP to connect a paying customer to the NBN at Triabunna, Tasmania and plans to deploy its own internet protocol television service as part of its NBN offering.
