According to Qantas Domestic CEO Lyell Strambi, the airline was committed to providing passengers with the “best experience” from the time they arrive at an airport to leaving the airport at their destination.

"The feedback from Qantas frequent flyers and regular customers who have used Optus Wi-Fi in our lounges has been overwhelmingly positive,” he said in a statement.

According to Optus, the Wi-Fi rollout began in November 2011 with Sydney Airport’s T3 domestic terminal and finished in October 2012 at Canberra Airport.

The service is supplied by Optus Business and ICT services company Alphawest as part of a five-year managed services contract.
