Optus adds to its 4G device offering

Optus has also announced pricing plans for the iPad mini -- plans start at $19.95 per month for 2GB of data.

Optus has added two new Windows 8 phones to its 4G device offering and also released pricing plans for the iPad mini.

The telco is offering the Nokia Lumia 820 for $0 upfront on plans $50 and over and the HTC 8S for $0 upfront on plans over $35.

Optus is offering seven plans for the Nokia Lumia 820, starting at $30 per month, plus $7 per month for the handset, and includes 200MB of data and $200 credit.

The highest plan, at $129 per month, includes no handset charge, 4GB of data, unlimited standard national calls and unlimited SMS within Australia.

Optus is also offering seven plans for the HTC 8S, starting at $30 per month, plus a $3 per month handset charge, and includes 200MB of data and $200 credit.

Optus has also announced pricing plans for the iPad mini. Plans start at $19.95 per month for 2GB of data; $24.95 for 5GB; $34.95 for 10GB; $54.95 for 15GB; and $74.95 for 20GB.

All plans incur a monthly device charge -- $42.10 for the 16GB iPad mini; $52.10 for the 32GB tablet; and $60.10 for the 64GB iPad mini.
