Ethan Group’s partnership with Cisco gets another boost after the Cloud provider attained Master Managed Services certification.
The achievement makes Ethan Group one of the first Australian businesses to be recognised through the certification, which focuses on the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) set of practices for IT service management (ITSM), which in turn look at aligning IT services with business needs.
Ethan Group chief executive officer, Paul Kawtal, said the achievement was made possible by working with Cisco in moving IT into the Cloud.
“The investment we have made to achieve the Cisco Master Managed Services certification is significant in this evolution, in terms of resources and time we have dedicated to it,” he said.
“We believe [the certification] will deliver considerable benefits to our large customer base.”
In order to achieve the Cisco certification, Kawtal said the Ethan Group had to demonstrate the ability to deliver complex solutions, meet Cisco’s stringent requirements based on a depth of capabilities, and undergo an independent audit by an objective third party auditor.
“We were also required to offer at least two managed services using the resources and procedures necessary to deploy, manage and support Cisco solutions,” he said.
In the deployment of Cisco based managed services, Ethan Group currently provides “white label” network operation services to Cisco partners for partner-to-partner collaboration.
