Telstra launches video telephony service

Telstra has launched what it claims is the first video telephony service from an Australian operator, using technology supplied by Polycom.

Telstra said it has upgraded its network to better support video calls between business customers.

The company today also launched its first supported videophone, the Telstra VVX 1500 Business Phone.

Telstra has meanwhile launched a HD Voice service for between-business calls using Telstra IP telephony.
