ACMA to investigate Al-Manar TV again

ACMA has announced it will further investigate the content of Al-Manar TV to ensure it complies with regulations banning terrorist-related content, racial vilification and hate speech.

Al-Manar TV is a narrowcasting television service believed to be operated by Hezbollah. It is being re-transmitted into Australia via satellite.

As part of the investigation, members of the public have been invited to submit content believed to be in breach the guidelines to the regulatory body.

A prior ACMA investigation into the channel found that it was not in breach of the anti-terrorism standard.
