eServGlobal deploys FlexiContent for Orange

OSS/BSS vendor eServGlobal has announced it integrated its FlexiContent carrier grade application development and delivery service with telecom operator Orange, to support its services related to the African Cup of Nations.

Orange used FlexiContent to develop its African Cup of Nations Infotainment service, which allowed Orange affiliates in Africa to offer services providing live scores, as well as a variety of promotions such as Predict and Win, via premium SMS.

eServGlobal said the partnership served as a dress rehearsal for eServGlobal’s plans for the 2010 FIFA World Cup.

Meanwhile, the company announced it had processed a record number of transactions during the critical hours of the 2010 new year.

eServGlobal said it handled 136.5 million calls for 24 operators, over 164.7 million SMS for 19 operators and nearly 7 million voucher recharge transactions for 19 operators during the busiest hours of the day – 10pm to 2am. Around 90% of sites experienced no disruptions, the company added.
