NetComm wins first business in North America

Fixed and mobile broadband equipment provider NetComm (ASX:NTC) has received its first orders from a North American mobile operator, secured as part of an international marketing drive.

The company said it had received US$1 million ($1.1 million) worth of orders from Canada’s Telus for an integrated 3G router to be marketed as the Telus Smart Hub.

NetComm said it anticipates monthly orders after the Telus Smart Hub is launched.

Devices will begin shipping this month.
