MOKO.mobi signs distribution deal in Japan

Mobile social networking platform developer MOKO.mobi (ASX:MKB) has signed a distribution agreement for its platform with Japan’s Eclipse Productions.

Eclipse will help translate and customise the MOKO suite to suit the Japanese market, and negotiate with the nation’s three largest mobile operators – NTT DoCoMo, Softbank and KDDI.

The companies will immediately start work on a Japanese language version of the suite, but MOKO.mobi said it expects the negotiations with the Japanese carriers to take some time.

The company expects to be ready to give an update on the negotiations in the December quarter.
