iiNet welcomes Telstra-NBN Co agreement

ISP iiNet (ASX:IIN) has welcomed the signing of the agreement between Telstra, the government and NBN Co.

“The NBN is the future of broadband in Australia and iiNet has always believed that it would be better served by having Telstra involved than not,” company CEO Michael Malone said,

He said that initial examination of the agreement appears to show that it reflects the government's commitments of an open-access network, structural separation and regulatory reform.

iiNet is due to commence providing services to the first NBN customers in the coming weeks.
