Projection technology developer Digislide (ASX:DGI) has reached an IPTV commercialisation deal with a global licensor of IP video delivery solutions.
The company said it would work to help commercialise the licensor's virtual streaming delivery network technologies in Australia, New Zealand, the US and Canada..
The platform is capable of supporting over 1,000 simultaneous video streams streams to hundreds of millions of end users, Digislide said. It is already in operation in parts of Asia including China.
During the recent FIFA World Cup the platform was simultaneously used by over 200 million users in peak times.
