IT services provider Powerlan (ASX:PWR) has announced that its telecom services subsidiary, Clarity, has joined the Industry Partner Program at the Institute for a Broadband-Enabled Society (IBES).
IBES, an initiative of the University of Melbourne, is an R&D venture that focuses on applications and technologies related to next-generation broadband.
Clarity plans to deploy its operational management software for the use of IBES researchers and industry partners.
“Using Clarity's technologies, IBES researchers will be able to precisely emulate NBN-like scenarios,” IBES director professor Rod Tucker said.
