Digital distribution company Transol (ASX:TNC) has revealed its music subsidiary has nabbed another sales agreement, this time in Japan.
Valleyarm Digital, 100%-owned by Transol, has signed a deal with ICI Inc, a Japanese digital content distributor.
The arrangement will make Valleyarm's catalogue available in Japan through digital music retailers including Hudson Soft Company, Yamaha Music Media and Excite.
The deal also covers distribution deals with telecom operators including NTT DoCoMo, Softbank, KDDI's au and MTI.
Announcing the agreement, Valleyarm said Japan is the second largest music market in the owrld, and the largest digital market for single sales.
ICI specialises in licensing non-Japanese music, and has deals with labels and content companies including EMI Music Japan, Columbia Music and BMG Japan.
Valleyarm earlier this month signed a similar agreement with Europe's Believe Digital, and a week later announced a reciprocal deal to distribute Believe Digital's tracks in Australia and Asia.
Transol meanwhile revealed it had placed 140 million shares to clients of Melbourne Capital, to raise $420,000 to be used as working capital.
TNC shares grew by a third to $0.004 during Thursday's ASX trading.
