Virgin Blue announces new CFO

The Virgin Blue Group of Airlines (ASX:VBA)today announced the appointment of Sankar Narayan as CFO, commencing April 2011.

Narayan will head up Virgin Blue’s financial, IT and procurement divisions, and will be responsible for improving financial efficiency and play a key role in driving the Group’s growth.

Narayan previously was CFO at media company Astro All Asia Networks and prior to that held CFO positions with Fairfax Media and Foxtel. He holds an MBA from the Booth School of Business in Chicago and is a CPA.

Narayan’s appointment follows the resignation of Keith Neate on 21 December 2010.
