Mobile content and services company MobileActive (ASX:MBA) has launched a new mobile voting platform for broadcasters.
MobileActive's Mobile Embrace business-to-business division has licensed Interactive Broadcasting Platform from the UK's Mobile Interactive. The license covers Australia and New Zealand.
MBA shares jumped 18.52% on Tuesday to $0.032 after the announcement was made
Interactive Broadcasting Platform has been designed to act as a channel for viewers to vote on television programming such as reality shows, otherwise interact with live shows or watch live feeds and highlights.
It can also use social media plug-ins, and Mobile Interactive has already integrated the platform with Facebook.
The platform also includes an in-app payment and crediting mechanism, and uses SSL encryption for security.
MobileActive will offer the platform either as a fully managed service or an SDK. Services using the platform may be distributed as apps or hosted on the internet.
