MobileActive signs multi-region distribution deals

Mobile content and services company MobileActive (ASX:MBA) has signed distribution agreements covering multiple territories with three firms.

The company said it had entered deals covering mobile applications produced by its RingRing Studios content divisions with PT Tryakom, Takarurb and ARPU+.

The arrangements widen RingRing's distribution reach across multiple territories and operators, MobileActive said.

Tryakom, and Indonesian company, has distribution channels with companies including Indonesian operator Telkomsel and satellite services provider Indosat. These two operators have a combined subscriber base of around 65 million.

Takarub provides mobile data services content and solutions in MENA, Europe, the US and Canada, and currently has deals with some 20 mobile operators in MENA, Africa and the Gulf alone.

ARPU+, a subsidiary of Egypt's Orascom Telecom, is a value added services specialist with distribution channels into 19 countries in the middle east and Europe.

News of the deals came one day after the company announced it had scored direct SMS carrier agreements with two Australian operators (and was in talks with a third) for its Mobile Embrace business to business division.

The move is expected to also benefit its other operating unit, Mobile Entertainment Retail.

MBA shares fell 9.09% on Wednesday to $0.020, as the shares normalised after a 37.5% spike the day before.
