Projection technology developer Digislide (ASX:DGI) has signed a joint investment and licensing agreement with Adelaide's Bencom Group.
Bencom Group have developed technologies including an NFC reader/writer/viewer built to US military specifications.
Under the agreement, Bencom will invest in Digislide Holdings and its subsidiary, VSDN Australia. The companies will then jointly develop products including embedded projection systems for mobile phones with optional NFC payment systems.
Digislide will pay license fees to Bencom in exchange for the non-exclusive right to use Bencom Mobile Applications Technology.
The deal also covers cross selling of products, and the two becoming joint venture partners to commercialise IPTV technologies based on the Virtual Streaming Distribution Network (VSDN) technology which Digislide is [[xref:http://www.cfoworld.com.au/news/533944/digislide-reaches-vsdn-marketing-milestone/|licensing|CFOWorld] from Wise Site Technologies.
Digislide CEO Luceille Outhred said the company planned to put Bencom's technologies to good use in more areas of its operations.
“Bencom's technologies also have applications for our Hong Kong based joint venture, Digismart Commerce, which is commercialising [a product] targeted at the multi-billion dollar global sports and film industries,” she said.
DGI shares fell 7.69% in Wednesday's trading to $0.060.
