Software and services hub company Sirius (ASX:SIU), through one of its spoke subsidiaries, has won a $900,000 contract with Western Water in Victoria.
Sirius unit InfoMaster submitted the winning offer for a tender to provide an asset management information system for the water services company.
Under the deal, Sirius will provide its AssetManager software platform, in an implementation that will be complete by November next year.
The AssetManager platform is also currently in use by a number of city councils, including City of Melbourne, as well as bodies including the Queensland Department of Transport.
In September, Sirius paid an initial $1 million to acquire asset, lease and property management software developer Pinnacle Software, which currently operates as a separate subsidiary.
Sirius also provides help-desk and operator services to government departments in Canberra through subsidiary Sirius Managed Services.
The company reported a swing to a $5.1 million net loss in FY11, but has set the ball rolling on a series of measures aimed at restoring profitability, its financial report shows.
SIU shares stayed flat on Tuesday at $0.025.
