NSW Transport is on the hunt for a Sydney Trains CIO and a NSW Trains head of IT to drive the development and implementation of IT strategies for the respective rail agencies.
According to the Sydney Trains CIO job advertisement on the NSW Transport website, the successful Sydney Trains applicant will need to have proven experience in managing and delivering complex IT projects, programs and change initiatives at an executive level.
“You have extensive experience in best practice IT strategies, and the ability to deliver customer-focused IT solutions,” read the advertisement. “You also thoroughly understand current developments in IT management and their application in a commercial environment.”
According to the advertisement, IT executives with the capacity to deal effectively with key clients and stakeholders, while driving cultural change will be ideal contenders for the Sydney Trains CIO position.
According to the NSW Trains head of IT job advertisement, the successful applicant will lead the development and delivery of IT systems, programs and services while providing input into organisational strategy and policy.
“As head of IT, you will also build workforce competency and coordinate a professionally diverse team,” read the advertisement.
In-depth knowledge of current developments in IT management and their application in a commercial environment is essential.
Candidates will also need to demonstrate extensive senior management experience in delivering best practice IT strategies and customer-focussed solutions.
Salaries for both roles were not mentioned in the advertisements.
