Chin Sak Hin will oversee operational departments and support the CEO

Tiger Airways Holdings has promoted its CFO Chin Sak Hin to group chief operating officer as part of the its phase of growth.

Chin has been the airline group’s CFO since June 2008 and overseen the company’s finances as it expanded and developed. As group COO, he is tasked with overseeing the operational departments and supporting the CEO to implement further growth plans across the business. Tiger Airways Holdings has airline operations in Australia and Singapore and also owns a stake in Mandala Airlines and SEAir.

Tiger has appointed former Unisteel Technology group CFO Khushu Ram as its new CFO. The company highlighted his experience in accounting policies and financial control improvements, M&A, tax and treasury activities as key reasons for the choice. Ram’s focus will be on capital management, financial compliance programs and policies, and cost control and risk management of the group’s operations.

The two commence their new roles on 26 February.

“Sak Hin’s intimate understanding of the Group’s operations, and Khushi’s strong financial stewardship, will add depth to the Group as we move to centralise our core operations and pool our resources to derive greater synergies for our subsidiary and associate airlines,” group CEO of Tiger Airways Holdings, Koay Peng Yen, said.
