Australian Radio Network appoints Michael Harvey as CFO

Harvey will replace Cormac O'Shea, who has been promoted to a UK role

The Australian Radio Network (ARN) has appointed Michael Harvey as its new CFO to replace Cormac O’Shea.

O’Shea has been appointed CFO of UK-based Clear Channel International, which owns 50 per cent of ARN, effective 10 April. He joined ARN in October 2010 and previously worked across the APN News and Media businesses for 12 years, holding the CFO’s post for four of those years.

Harvey meanwhile, has a history in a variety of financial management roles including positions with News Limited, Fox Studios Australia and most recently, CareerOne. He has spent the past year consulting to digital media startup Marketown Media.

ARN’s CEO Ciaran Davis welcomed the two appointments.

“This is an incredible opportunity for Cormac and demonstrates the diverse career avenues available at ARN via both our shareholders,” he said. “We wish him all the best. However we are very fortunate to have Michael to step into his place.

“With his proven experience, we are looking forward to the next phase of growth for ARN as we continue to position ourselves as the leaders in radio broadcasting in Australia.”

ARN owns the Mix and Classic Hits networks across Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Brisbane and has more than four million listeners.
