IT giant Fujitsu may have a long-standing reputation for technological innovation in Japan, but the company now also boasts a long history in Australia after celebrating its 40th anniversary.

Initially starting up as FACOM Australia, the company eventually changed to its current name in the mid 80s and grew over the years to occupy a leading role in the local IT landscape.

To commemorate the milestone, Fujitsu put together a comprehensive ebook that documents the highlights of the company’s first four decades in Australia.

Several key excerpts from the ebook were combined into a print copy that were then distributed to attendees at a commemorative event held at the Establishment Hotel in Sydney.

Current CEO Mike Foster was in attendance, as well as past CEOs such as Mike Rydon, George Ranucci, Rod Vawdrey and Neville Roach.
