Optus has been awarded a $60 million, five-year contract with Virgin Australia to provide domestic and international telco and managed services.
Optus will deliver the services over its managed data network, taking over the contract from Telstra.

“This is a significant step in the transformation of Virgin Australia’s technology delivery and we look forward to realising the benefits of this expanded regional relationship with Optus and the SingTel Group,” said Lawrie Turner, Virgin Australia’s chief information officer.
Optus also recently won a contract with the NSW Department of Finance and Services to provide managed mobility services, replacing Telstra as the provider for its mobile services.
