Five vacancies, including chair, need to be filled

The New South Wales government is seeking five IT professionals for its ICT advisory panel.

The panel provides advice to the state government on subjects such as cloud services, open data, information management, IT procurement, social media and ICT sourcing models.

According to the NSW minister for finance and services, Andrew Constance, the NSW government is looking for experts with the right knowledge, skills and commitment to improve IT service delivery.

Five vacancies, including the role of chair, exist. Membership lasts for one year.

Applications can be sent to NSWICT@finance.nsw.gov.au. The deadline is 20 December 2013.

In addition, Constance said the NSW government needs seven IT professionals for the its industry advisory group to replace members who have reached the end of their one year term.

“The group provides a private sector perspective on innovative approaches to government ICT procurement,” he said in a statement.

“It has advised on how to attract small and medium enterprises [SMEs] across NSW to consider opportunities for government work.”

IT professionals can send their nomination to: procurementconsult@finance.nsw.gov.au. The deadline also closes on 20 December.
