Lockheed Martin Australia advertises for CISO

The company was recently awarded an IT tender from the Department of Defence

Defence and technology company Lockheed Martin is looking for a CISO, who will be based in Canberra.

According to the job listing on Seek, the Department of Defence recently selected Lockheed Martin as the successful tenderer for a data centre consolidation program.

“In this role, you will be responsible for cyber security management, system design and security integration, security verification and validation, supporting the secure and effective delivery of ICT systems to the [data centre] program,” read the Seed advertisement.

“Further, you will work under general direction and independently manage the cyber security practices to deliver secure services to the program.”

According to the listing, the successful applicant will need extensive experience in systems engineering using formal engineering security methods, knowledge of cyber security procedures/protocols and demonstrated ability in providing direction and co-ordination to a team of IT professionals.

In addition, applicants will need to qualify for an Australian government security clearance.
