New South Wales' Independent Commission Against Corruption has announced it will later this month launch a public inquiry into the conduct of an IT manager accused of issuing false invoices while employed at three NSW universities.
ICAC is investigating allegations that Brett Roberts "corruptly obtained benefits by issuing false invoices to the University of Newcastle, the University of Sydney and Macquarie University, when he held information technology management positions at each of the universities between 2005 and 2013," said a statement issued today by the anti-corruption watchdog.
ICAC codenamed the investigation "Operation Misto".
The inquiry will start on 16 February and is scheduled for three days.
Anthony McGrath SC will be counsel assisting the commission. ICAC Commissioner Megan Latham will preside at the inquiry.
