Engineering giant AECOM is seeking a chief digital officer for its operation in Australia and New Zealand.

They will work with various company stakeholders to create “digital integrated solutions” and direct teams to “implement, integrate and innovate whilst streamlining operations” a the job listing said.

The successful candidate will also be required to manage partnerships with technology vendors and improve the commercial viability of business units through the digitisation of workflow, engineering, processes, procedures and best practices.

A job ad said the CDO would be a “digital thought leader and industry evangelist” with more than 20 years professional experience, eight of which would be in related IT consulting at the executive level. They would also need “successful track record of driving digital change”.

The multi-national group has 3,500 employees in Australia and New Zealand and provided engineering services and administration to the controversy-stricken NBN Co when it built ten satellite ‘earth stations’ as part of the network’s Long Term Satellite Service.
