Australian War Memorial seeks new IT chief

Daryl Winterbottom departs after more than two decades

The head of IT at the Australian War Memorial in Canberra, Daryl Winterbottom, has retired from his position, with the organisation seeking a chief information officer to replace him.

Winterbottom has worked at the memorial for over two decades. He joined the organisation in 1989, leading the implementation of the Australian War Memorial’s collection management system. In 1992 he established AWM’s Information Technology Section.

The organisation has begun accepting applications for the position of chief information officer and head ICT. The new CIO will report to branch head, Corporate Services, and participate in the organisation’s Information Management Steering Group.

The successful applicant must hold or be able to obtain a security clearance of NV2.

Applications close 11 October. Details are available from the AWM website.
