Intermoco appoints new chair, director

Intermoco (ASX:INT) has announced the appointment of a new new chairman and a non-executive director.

The company, which provides utilities management solutions with an emphasis on internet-enabled metering, said John Evans would be taking the role of independent chairman.

Evans is currently non-executive director and chair of the audit committees of both clinical waste conversion technology developer Medivac (ASX:MDV), and medical diagnostic product developer Healthlinx (ASX:HTX).

He has previously held directorships with public and private companies in industries including property development, healthcare, mining services, legal services and employment and training.

Evans replaces Andrew Plympton, who resigned last week citing increased commitments at his roles at the Australian Olympic Committee and the Board of the Australian Sports Commission.

Intermoco also said it had appointed Bob Gestro back to the board as a non-executive director.

Gestro was Plympton's predecessor, having served as executive chairman from February 2009 until April 2010.

INT shares stayed flat on Wednesday at $0.004.
