Brookfield Multiplex awards $4m project ERP contract

Construction and engineering group, Brookfield Multiplex, has awarded a $4 million project ERP solutions contract to solutions group, IFS Applications.

IFS has been tasked with initially supplying 1750 users with a range of enterprise applications covering contract and product portfolio management, project profitability, financials and reporting. Longer term, IFS will also implement its Touch Apps mobile management solution, e-invoicing, CRM, IFS Talk, HSE and rostering.

The implementation commences in July and will help Brookfield leverage its global resource base to win and deliver projects, the company said. Brookfield operates in eight countries with 3368 staff. It has completed 793 projects valued at $54bn, including the Trump International Hotel and Tower in Toronto, the Fiona Stanley Hospital in Australia and Strata SE1 in London.

IFS Australia managing director, Rob Stummer, said his company previously worked with Brookfield’s parent and sister companies in the UK and North and South America. He highlighted construction and contracting as one of its target vertical markets, with existing clients including Alliance Contracting, Brierty, Hertel, Debut Services, Fabcon, Agility Group, and Infratek.

“IFS is uniquely positioned to help a global construction company of this calibre profitably manage project deliverables, collaborate with vendors and enhance customer satisfaction,” Stummer said.

Other customer wins for IFS in the past year include an US$11.5m contract with Maersk Drillian and Supply Service for its ERP Applications platform, and a full enterprise management solution deployment with rail and urban transport engineering firm for Systra worldwide.

IFS Applications offers a broad ERP suite covering organisational and project management and is publicly listed on the Swedish Stock Exchange.
