Big data: Are we there yet?

Participate in BigInsights’ big data survey and go into the draw to win a Samsung Galaxy S5 smartphone

Australian research firm BigInsights has launched a global survey to gauge how much organisations know about big data and the challenges they face when analysing vast amounts of information.

CIO has partnered with BigInsights for its 2014 Big Data study, and we are inviting IT leaders to complete a short survey on the adoption of big data analytics within their organisations.

The research will reveal if big data has crossed the chasm beyond a few select companies and use cases.

“We have well and truly moved beyond the hype cycle of big data. The market has realised that this isn’t hype because the challenges associated with the growing volumes and varieties of data at high velocity is very tangible and very real,” said Shayum Rahim, research director, BigInsights.

“Organisations can no longer sit on their hands as the market moves to the next permutation. The disruption has forced significant changes to how business must now be done, and the survey should yield some compelling insights to shed light on this,” he said.

The survey takes 5-7 minutes. All participants will receive a detailed executive summary of the survey results and will go into the draw to win a Samsung Galaxy S5 smartphone.
