Brett Wilson new McDonald Jones CIO

Moves across from Asia-Pacific CIO role at Capgemini

Brett Wilson is the new CIO at home designs and building company, McDonald Jones. Wilson was previously CIO for Asia Pacific and UK at Capgemini for just over four years.

Wilson had been with Campgemini in various roles since 2007 as IT director for Australia and New Zealand, senior manager and IT manager. He also founded his own company, East Coast Hobbies, in 2007, specialising in radio controlled planes and helicopters. The business was sold in 2010.

Wilson started his career in systems support for Canon Australia in the mid-to-late '90s, then moved onto network engineer and operational roles.

CIO Australia has contacted Wilson for comment about his plans for this year.

In 2014, McDonald Jones rolled out 3D, 360-degree cameras that let potential buyers take a virtual tour of display homes.

The company has also deployed video conferencing technology that enables tradespeople onsite to connect with offices for meetings using their iPads, iPhones, and Android devices.
