BenQ V2200 Eco LED monitor

According to BenQ, the V2200 Eco is the world's first 21.5in LED monitor. A similar unit to the V2400 Eco -- the smaller screen size is the main difference -- the V2200 Eco monitor is among the first LCD monitors to boast LED backlighting. Though this results in decreased power consumption and a brighter display with better contrast, you'll pay a premium for it.

HTC Hero smartphone

Just the third Google Android mobile phone to be released in Australia, HTC's Hero smartphone takes the platform to new heights. It follows on from the HTC Dream and the HTC Magic with Google. Featuring HTC's Sense user interface, the Hero is without doubt the closest challenger yet to Apple's [[artnid:309245|iPhone 3GS|Review: Apple iPhone 3GS]], leaving both the Dream and the Magic in its wake.

LG GM730f smartphone

LG's GM730f smartphone is exclusive to Telstra, which is also the first telco in the world to offer it. It's a Windows Mobile handset overlaid with a version of LG's S-Class interface. It runs the 6.1 version of Windows Mobile, but will be upgradeable to 6.5 when it's released later this year. While it offers all the features of Windows Mobile and the content of Telstra's Next G network, using the LG GM730f is a frustrating experience.

Nokia 6700 classic mobile phone

A mid-range mobile phone (otherwise known as a "dumbphone"), Nokia's 6700 classic won't appeal to social-networking buffs, business users or those who are interested in the latest and greatest touch-screen smartphones. A basic handset that’s well designed, the Nokia 6700 classic's stainless steel casing and simple user interface will impress users only interested in calls, text and the occasional photo — which, believe it or not, is still a fair chunk of the population.

Sony Ericsson C903 mobile phone

Looking almost identical to a standalone digital camera from the back, the C903 is Sony Ericsson's latest Cyber-shot mobile phone. This camera phone takes reasonable photos, but its build quality is questionable and there really is little else to get excited about.

Nokia E52 smartphone

Nokia's E Series devices are predominantly targeted at business users, but the E52's subtle design will appeal to regular consumers as well. It doesn’t have a full QWERTY keyboard, but the Nokia E52 boasts outstanding battery life, a razor-thin design and great call quality.

Nokia 6720 classic mobile phone

As a replacement for the 6220 classic, Nokia's 6720 classic isn't a mobile phone that will get the heart racing with excitement. A faster processor, better battery life and a 3.5mm headphone jack are improvements over its predecessor, but the lack of a Xenon flash and camera lens cover are strange omissions.

ViewSonic VG2427wm LCD monitor

A full HD LCD monitor boasting solid, all-round performance, ViewSonic's VG2427wm may not look the part, but it provides good image quality. Unfortunately, the decision to not include an HDMI connection may be a deal breaker for potential customers.

LG Crystal (GD900) mobile phone

As its name suggests, LG's Crystal (GD900) is a fashion-oriented mobile phone. Featuring a unique, transparent "crystal" keypad, the LG Crystal tries hard to break from the stigma commonly associated with fashion phones — that they ultimately lack basic features. The LG Crystal's 8-megapixel camera, Wi-Fi capacitive touch screen and S-Class 3D user interface drive it in the right direction, but it ultimately suffers as yet another "dumb phone" label.

Samsung NC10 netbook

A standard netbook with a pretty conventional design, Samsung's NC10 won't turn many heads, but its crowning feature is built-in 3G wireless broadband. Partnered with Optus, the Samsung NC10 becomes a handy road-warrior -- if you can live with the tiny touchpad.
