Alan Chiew is an experienced innovator who is passionate about building and running world-class digital products and experiences. He is also firm believer in transformation to the cloud through continuous integration and improvement, designing and developing for resilience and robustness.

Alan’s career has seen him leading digital transformation in governments, consultancies and the banking sector. Alan is currently the Executive Director and Head of Technology at Standard Chartered Bank and leads a global team that serves customers in 30 retail markets in Asia, the Middle East and Africa.

Romil Sharma

Romil is a seasoned technologist with more than a decade of experiences under his belt. He is currently the Head of Digital Bank Technology at DBS.

Eric Lee, an Executive Director in Deloitte Southeast Asia Cyber Risk Services, has over 20 years of industry experience in business IT operating model, enterprise system development, and technology risk and security management. In Deloitte, Eric leads the Digital Identity practice in SEA and has implemented large scale cybersecurity platform for banks, insurance, Telcos and healthcare institutions, and advised clients on cybersecurity strategy and planning.

Peter Sandilands

Advisor, IBRS

Peter Sandilands is an IBRS advisor who specialises in cyber security, risk and compliance. Peter has over 40 years’ experience in the IT industry with the last 20 years focused on security. He has spoken at conferences and industry briefings across Asia Pacific. Peter was instrumental in the introduction of Check Point Software to Australia, leading the operation for five years. Prior to that Peter was a key strategist in the broadening of Novell’s market across Asia Pacific. Since then he has spent nearly 10 years working for large Australian companies in banking, mining and transport delivering security strategy, security architecture and compliance assessments. Peter has also assisted overseas security vendors enter the Australian market with a focus on the strategic use of the products. As a casual academic at UTS for over 20 years, Peter lectured in network security, cloud security and networking technologies. With his experience across vendors, channel and business, Peter brings a pragmatic approach to implementing and assessing cyber security. Peter has a Master of Cyber Security from Charles Sturt University and a Master of Science in Internetworking from UTS.

Ajay Biyani

Regional Vice President, ForgeRock

Ajay is a strategist, innovator, and communicator of digital identity, access, security, and privacy, with a particular focus on creating successful wide-scale ecosystems and fostering individual empowerment. He drives Identity Relationship Management adoption for the ForgeRock Open Identity Stack in APAC & Japan.

He specialises in advising clients on emerging identity and security solutions, distributed authorisation, privacy enhancement, and API security solutions and their impact on the Web and the Internet of Things. He has been invited as a guest speaker in major security events and online security webinars.

Byron Connolly

Editor-in-Chief, CIO Australia & Associate Editor, CSO

Byron Connolly is a highly experienced technology and business journalist and editor with 20 years’ experience and 8 years’ experience talking to CIOs about cyber security. As the editor-in-chief, he is responsible for commissioning, writing and editing content that are published by IDG Communications. Byron also facilitates roundtables and conferences for senior IT and business executives and creates content from these events.

Prior to this role, Byron was a senior writer and editor at Editor Group, a Sydney-based corporate writing agency, where he produced editorial material for some of the world’s top technology and consulting companies.

Byron was editor of technology channel publication, CRN Australia, published by Haymarket Media Group, and held senior editorial roles at technology publications ITNews and Information Week at Penton Media and APN News and Media.
Prior to this role, Byron was a senior writer and editor at Editor Group, a Sydney-based corporate writing agency, where he produced editorial material for some of the world’s top technology and consulting companies.

Byron was editor of technology channel publication, CRN Australia, published by Haymarket Media Group, and held senior editorial roles at technology publications ITNews and Information Week at Penton Media and APN News and Media.

He was also client services director at public relations firm Upstream Australia (now Bite Global).
