With the federal election only a few months away, almost 80 per cent Australian CFOs are expecting political gridlock and uncertainty to take a toll on the economy in the months ahead, according to a global survey by American Express.
Reduced interest rates, increased iron ore prices and economic growth in China have 70 per cent of CFOs feeling confident about revenue growth, with 63 per cent expecting an increase in cash flow this year, according to Deloitte’s latest Quarterly CFO Survey.
Some 85 per cent of 300 Australian CFOs and finance directors surveyed are concerned about losing valuable staff in the next year, with 36 per cent expecting new finance and accounting employees to leave a company within the first three years.
