Since the August announcement, <a href="http://www.infoworld.com/d/the-industry-standard/the-sharks-are-circling-hp-can-anyone-save-it-170747">HP's future has been repeatedly questioned</a>, as has the competence of its senior management. The appointment of board member Whitman as CEO <a href="http://www.infoworld.com/d/the-industry-standard/hps-meg-whitman-new-ceo-same-old-strategy-173792">added to the criticisms</a>.
