  • Westpac IT sourcing expert joins NBN Co

    The National Broadband Network Company has scored another hiring coup, as senior talent from Westpac joins the team to bulk out its skills in dealing with technology vendors. Until June this year Roscoe Fay had been Westpac’s head of Commercial Engagement, a position he had held since only November 2009, when he was promoted to a spot as the top-tier bank’s head of IT sourcing and contracts. Westpac, however, has confirmed the executive has now left the business.

Just as promotions inside the ranks of the National Broadband Network Company (NBN Co) have taken place speedily over the past year since it was formed, so have departures. Most of NBN Co's first rank of hires over the past year — and all of its most senior executives — have remained in their seats since joining the company in its first year of operation. However, several senior staff have left the fledgling fibre company during their first year of employment.
