IDC interviewed eight organisations using Amazon Redshift, AWS’s data warehousing service to explore its impact on their data warehousing, IT and business operations. According to these organisations, Amazon Redshift has not only proven to be a cost-effective data warehousing platform but also enabled them to create more value with analytics and data through its ease of use, performance and scalability. IDC projects that these organisations will realize average annual benefits worth $758,845 per 100TB per year over five years, which would result in an average return on investment (ROI) of 469%.
